This 1963 Imperial Crown convertible is powered by a 413ci V8 paired with a push-button three-speed automatic transmission. Features include a six-way power-adjustable driver seat, air conditioning, power-assisted brakes and steering, Auto Pilot cruise control, and Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels. A total of 531 Imperial Crown convertibles were made for the 1963 model year. Exterior features include quadruple headlamps, a rear deck lid inspired by that of Chrysler’s 1955 Flight Sweep concept car, as well as chrome bumpers, trim, and side-view mirrors. Chrome Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels are wrapped in American Classic whitewall radial tires, while a full-size spare resides in the trunk. Braking is handled by power-assisted drums. The cabin has reportedly been reupholstered in red leather and features matching door panels, dashboard, carpets, and tonneau cover. Amenities include power windows and seats, an AM radio with floor controls, courtesy lights, illuminated ashtrays for rear-seat passengers, and Auto Pilot cruise control. A red-painted rectangular steering wheel frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, amperage, coolant temperature, and fuel level, along with an electric clock. The 413ci V8 is equipped with a single four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 340 horsepower.
